Our UCLA-StarTalk Hindi-Urdu classes begin tomorrow (I mean in a few hours, better get to bed), so Anshu and I prep over Skype and make last minute trips for materials. I'm looking forward to learning more about teaching a language to heritage students from Anshu (who created the beautiful Hindi Flashcards and iPhone/Android Apps mentioned earlier).
Usually my teacher bucket contains essays upon essays, anthologies of English literature and the like, but for these next 5 weeks, my bucket will contain cute Urdu books and fun materials for cultural activities. Yay =)
