A couple years back, the fireworks show across the city of L.A. was incredible - but alas, the economy shows in subtle (or not so subtle ways). A burst here, a boom there, nothing much nearby. What, gigantic explosions of colors and attempted circles and smiley faces are not an absolute necessity of California's budget?! Why do we pay taxes, if not for this momentary once-a-year display?! DARN YOU CITY OF TORRANCE!
