On the last day of our 3rd week of Hindi-Urdu class (2 weeks to go, sadness), I got the opportunity to see our students getting dramatic. During the past few weeks, they've been working together to discuss and create their video project for the class, and they decided to go with their version of a desi TV drama. Today they dressed once again in their desi "costumes," drew on any necessary beards with sticks of kajol, and finished practicing and taping their final few scenes.
Staying true to the art form that is desi TV dramas, the students' version is full of love triangles, maar dhaar, disapproving parents, and of course, an epic dance scene. Can't wait to see the final drama presentation =)
