A morning of musical and mathematical mental work in a taal workshop; end it with an evening of a classical santoor piece, ghazals, a bhajan, and a piece in the hauntingly beautiful raag bhairavi. Musical artists Ranjeet and Ajeet Pathak provided a day of musical merriment.
"A man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treason, stratagems, and spoils;
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus:
Let no such man be trusted,"
(Shakespeare, "Merchant of Venice," V.i.83-88).
Basically I think you're a terrible person if you don't like music...just kidding...(or am I?!).
How many of you are sick of me by now, raise your hands? (I'm raising mine).
