Day 5: Boot Season Arrives

Exactly one week after L.A.'s record heat wave in which Downtown temperatures hit 113°F, I awoke this morning in confusion at how dark it still was outside. Yes, my dears, boot season has arrived! How wonderful to awake to a light rainfall, the smell of damp foliage, and a cloudy whiteness that all combine to create a sense of true melancholy and romance.
